The Air Jordan 2010 Silver Anniversary All Star

After 25 years of innovation and radical design, the Air Jordan has made a lasting imprint on the footwear industry.  This past year, Nike has celebrated the Air Jordan releasing all white Silver Anniversary editions of past Air Jordans (including the Air Jordan IX and XI).  For this spotlight special we will take a look at the limited edition Air Jordan 2010 Silver Anniversary All Star.

The Air Jordan 2010 is the 25th iteration of the most popular basketball shoe in history.  For the 2010 NBA All-Star Game, Dwyane Wade appeared in the Silver Anniversary Air Jordan 2010, taking MVP honors for the game.  Earlier this year, Nike released the extremely limited all white Air Jordan 2010 Silver Anniversary.  Another limited offering, the Air Jordan 2010 Silver Anniversary All Star was made available earlier this month, in what is expected to be one of the final colors of the Air Jordan 2010 this year.

The circular windows are the signature of the Air Jordan 2010

The Air Jordan 2010 Silver Anniversary All Star features an all silver and white color.  The upper is made up of metallic silver leather & synthetic, with the perforation holes on the quarter and base.  The see-through plastic and perforated circular windows on each side of the shoe are outlined with the silver metallic leather, while the top eyelet continues the silver theme.  The four triangular plastic supports on the upper are done in clear plastic, as the silver metallic leather shines through.

With a clear plastic outsole, the full length Carolina Blue Zoom Air™ cushioning is seen.  A Jumpman logo along with the “23” insignia are placed in the middle.  On the midsole, the silver theme continues with a patterned silver midsole sitting above the outsole.  Above the silver is the white Phylon™ midsole, a nice break in to before you reach the silver upper.  On the eyestay, the “JORDAN” mark is present (for the 2010 All-Star game “WADE” was features on the side), and the tongue contains, again, the signature Jumpman and “23” on each respective shoe.  Rounding out the shoe, the plush inside lining reveals a silver and white pattern, while the insoles are done in plain silver.

As with all Air Jordans, the Air Jordan 2010 strives to be the premier basketball performance shoe on the market.  The Air Jordan 2010 Silver Anniversary All Star can be described as a premium, luxurious shoe.  The designers have come up with a timeless color for the anniversary, fitting the shoe perfectly.  Released in limited numbers, the Air Jordan 2010 Silver Anniversary All Star can be found at select Nike retail stores.
